Il Molinello FARMHOUSE is built on a big travertine base, already used in Etruscan era for the building of tombs. A very beautiful example may be admired just near the farm. This travertine has been formed near the outlet of a thermal spring, which in ancient times has been canalised into the inside of the house and exploited to set in action a little horizontal wheel Mill (Molino), whose ruins have recently been renovated. We have reconstructed the history of our farm thanks to the documents of the ancient Spedale Santa Maria della Scala in Siena, owner, among others, of Grancia delle Serre, of which "Il Molinello" was one of the farms.
In 1996, tired of living in town, we decided to come to Molinello and live here. The management of the farm and of the farm holidays keeps the whole family busy: Alessandro (biologist, guide and sommelier) has decided making of this his own profession; Elisa, instead, has not given up her job, even if she deals with the administration; Mauro and Paola, even if they are retired, are involved full time….and we hope that in the future also Emma and Guido will give us a hand.

At Molinello you can find four apartments:
IL CIPRESSO - (THE CYPRESS) - 140 mq - 6/8 posti letto. It is our biggest flat (140 m2). The flat is constituted of three double rooms (with the possibility of a bed for children in addition, with protection bars), of a great living room with sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom with shower and bath. The flat is completely equipped (dishes, pots etc.) and is fitted with bed, bath and table linen, independent heating and television. It is located on the second floor of the main structure and from their windows you may enjoy of a fine view on the village of Serre di Rapolano and of the country surrounding.
IL GELSO - (THE MULBERRY) - 60 mq - 2/4 posti letto. Its position in the centre of the middle age farm makes it the most charming. It is constituted of a double room (with the possibility of a bed for children in addition, with protection bars), of a living room with bed sofa, of a kitchenette and of a bathroom with shower. The flat is completely equipped (dishes, pots, etc.) and is fitted with bed, bath and table linen., independent heating and television.
I PINI - (THE PINES) - 50 mq - 2/4 posti letto - giardino indipendente. A flat of recent restructuring is furnished by simple elegance. It's constituted of a double room (with the possibility of a bed for children in addition, with protection bars), of a living room with bed sofa and fireplace, of a kitchen, of a bathroom with shower (equipped also for disabled persons). The flat is completely equipped (dishes, pots, etc.) and fitted with bed, bath and table linen, independent heating and television. The flat has a great independent and fenced garden.
L'ACACIA - (THE ACACIA) - 50 mq - 4 posti letto - giardino indipendente. The flat of recent restructuring is furnished by simple elegance. It's constituted of the double bed rooms (with the possibility of a bed for children with protection bars), of a kitchenette, of a living room with fireplace, bathroom with shower. The flat is completely equipped (dishes, pots, etc.) and fitted with bed, bath and table linen, independent heating, air conditioning and satellite television. The flat has a large independent and fenced garden.
