Farmhouse Poggio ai Cieli is located near Siena, in the municipality of San Gimignano, very well known Medieval village immersed in the Tuscan countryside. It is an ideal place for quiet holidays in the country and is an easy starting point for the "art" cities or just for walks on the natural surroundings.
Poggio ai Cieli is a small
agricultural holding of 10 hectares used for viticulture.
The site is on a hill with excellent exposure, within the
district of San Gimignano. It is an ideal place for quiet

The old farmhouse was renovated and subdivided into comfortable flats and rooms. All around it are cypress, lilac hedges, magnificent pine trees, woods, olive groves, vineyards, fruit trees and the many services available to our customers.
We have placed some (now disused) agricultural machinery in an outdoor exhibition in front of the cellar. These have become "museum pieces", that tell our history of farming. Next to this is the barn once used for hay and silk production. Today it is used as a recreation room and office, and in the basement we store agricultural machinery and equipment.
In spring and summer time, the swimming pool allows you to spend unforgettable moments of amusement and relax. Even if it's not too large, it has an incomparable view on the typical Tuscan country. Our primary interest is moreover to assure the cleaning and disinfection of the swimming-pool. Have you ever try to have a swim at midnight, under a starry sky, in the absolute silence of the night only broken by the singing of the night-birds?
For
people fond of nature we have organized a "naturalistic
way" that winds along the lands of
our farm and that, in 10 stages, allows you to discover
interesting aspects of our country, our farming and our
history.
From this year we place at guests disposal a table-tennis in the amusement park and Mountain-bikes at free hire.
For children there are also available outside games located in a central and easily controllable position.
Our farm offers you a lot of services that certainly will make pleasant and relaxing your stay:
- a recreational room with phone and satellite television
and with a lot of tourist information and useful advice
told by our experience;
- a
laundry room with a "pillone", washing-machine,
electric iron and ironing-board;
- wood oven and grill under the loggia with tools and
wood at your disposal;
- wide spaces for parking in private area.
In flats and rooms, at your arrival, you will find
tourist information about restaurants, "trekking
ways", "wine ways" and maps of
"art" cities, of museums and of everything
useful for the discovery of Tuscany.
Moreover you'll find information concerning our farm and
our products that will be at your disposal in the
sales-room with the possibility of free tasting.
In collaboration with ESPERIA we arrange, in the relaxing
atmosphere of our farmhouse, Italian courses at basic
conversional levels with qualified and experienced
teachers, allowing you to acquire language for everyday
situations.
